Accreditations

At Nichols one thing has always been crystal clear: quality is our prime consideration. We strive for excellence in everything we do. We set and expect high standards and aim to provide exceptional services.

In 1995 we obtained accreditation of our management system to the ISO 9001 quality management standard. In 2000 we needed something that better suited our business. Our solution was ‘The Nichols System’.

‘The Nichols System’ meets the requirements of a number of international standards of best practice, including the EFQM Excellence Model, Balanced Scorecard, Investors in People and ISO 9001. It is also one of the first in the UK to gain accreditation under the new requirements of ISO 9001/2000. It has been designed to support our business success, within an environment of continuous improvement, by instilling quality in all aspects of our business.

In 2007, the Nichols System was further developed to gain accreditation to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System standards.

Feedback from key stakeholders and external auditors has confirmed that our system is ‘innovative’, ‘very impressive’ and ‘leading edge’. The Nichols System is fully electronic and available to all Nichols personnel and associates at all times, to act as a guide in all their business activities.

The Nichols System continues to operate as an integral aspect of Nichols' business operation, and is constantly developing to gain accreditation to applicable and creditable management system standards.
